Colour changes

This week we’ve seen lots and lots of colour changes to a more autumnal/wintery hue.

My lovely model this week at the Loreal academy had a colour change from purple and blonde highlights to a dark blonde copper base. Still keeping her copper for the winter, I just added a brighter red/copper on top of a dark copper base. I had to do two gentle cleanses and one deep cleanse to remove the violet from the hair and here we have a clearer copper tone. All done with L’Oréal Smart bond.

Hair colour change

With my colour degree coming to an end, I can now take on new clients again. Also this week I got to get my hands on this lovely new lady’s hair. We went from blonde to a dark blonde ash undertones with a clear gloss to finish. A subtle change but a big difference.

And last, but not least for this week, the lovely Joanna switched her colour to darker, more wintery tones. I just love the red curls.

Thank you for reading and following our news, I’ll be back with more next week :)

More L’oréal colour

Hey, here’s another week gone by and what a blast we’ve had. As you know by now, I just love playing with colours and this week’s mix of beige and clean blonde highlight with ash/gold base produced this stunning result.

Continuing with the colour theme – just look at this transformation from brown to red. Wonderful!

Hair-up and more colour

Lately it feels like the weeks are flying by, so many lovely clients and different hair transformations it’s a joy to come to the salon every day.

I loved this hair-up style we did for the gorgeous Becki, the two tone hair colour really makes this style come to life.

My L’Oréal training is continuing and I had great news that I have passed last week’s assignment with flying colours :) so you can rest assured I do know what I am doing when you trust me with your hair.

This week’s favourite colour of mine was this gorgeous red on the lovely Carol – just the right shade for her complexion and to welcome the autumn in.

We are still looking for a couple of hairdressers to join our team so if you hear of anyone, please send them my way.

Until next week,

L’Oréal Academy

I attended my second day at the L’oreal academy today and we were let loose on some real life models which was very exciting.
This lady was my model, her name was Kath although I forgot her name a lot and called her various other names she didn’t seem to mind and was lovely.
She was 100% white natural with a build up of yellow and green discolouration through the ends from old hair dye and swimming. I did a gentle cleanse through the ends and then applied a 10.21 L’oreal mid-lengths 1st/fresh mix then roots/fresh mix and then ends but with 10 ml of water to mixture.

The end result was this beautiful vanilla blond shade.

Hair Extension

This week we had some fun with Beauty Works extensions.

The beautiful Hannah was bored with having just black hair forever and wanted a change. I didn’t want to cleanse her hair because she’s a true Pocahontas at heart😂 so instead, I ordered some Beauty Works hair for her and we custom dyed it smoky pink, weaved them in and there you go a new look.

As Hanna put it herself – we’ve turned her into a Power Puff Girl.

L’oréal Colour Specialist Degree News

After a busy week of seeing clients and attending further training courses, I am so happy that after a 3-hour assessment for the L’Oréal Specialist Degree I have been told I have passed it! Whoop! This means I now have a place on the L’Oréal 2016 Colour Specialist Degree which is a 15-week intense course. I was so happy when I found out I don’t think my feet have touched the ground just yet.

And so I thought I would share some photos of this stunning blonde mix that we achieved going from a dark brown mix with a deep cleanse and using a variety of other hair colouring methods.
